Crossways Camping Ministries Mission Statement
Bringing people together in Christ
so that lives are changed and communities enhanced.

Donors make a difference for this generation and the next!

Crossways depends on the faithful, regular financial support of those who understand the importance of this ministry. Operational costs are covered by those campers and guests that use this facility; however, the cost of maintaining and improving this site is provided by the generous gifts of people and organizations who value the ministry.

Some of the ways you can become involved in the financial care of this ministry are:

Crossways Camping Ministries is a not for profit organization, recognized by the state of Wisconsin and by the Internal Revenue Service as a charitable organization and is defined by the IRS as an organization with 501, (c), (3) status. All gifts, contributions and donations made to Covenant Harbor are deductible from state and federal income taxes, according to current law, as charitable contributions.

Give a Gift

We are thankful to every gift received no matter how great or small.  Camp fees don't cover the full cost of a child to attend camp.  The ministries provided by Crossways are only possible by the generosity of those who support this ministry by their financial gifts.

IRA Charitable Rollover Opportunity

Congress extended an excellent charitable planning opportunity for both 2008 and 2009. This new law* permits an IRA owner who is 70½ years of age and older to make a direct transfer from her/his IRA to charity. This transfer may be up to $100,000 in one year and will apply for years 2008 and 2009.

Another benefit of the IRA Charitable Rollover is that the charitable distribution may be used by the IRA owner to satisfy a portion or all of their annual required minimum distribution (RMD).

You may take advantage of this new opportunity:

  • if you are age 70½ or older
  • for gifts up to $100,000 each year
  • if you make the gift on or before December 31 in 2008 or 2009
  • if you transfer funds directly from an IRA

It is important to note that a distribution from a traditional or Roth IRA to benefit Crossways Camping Ministries must be an outright gift distributed directly from the IRA trustee or administrator.

Crossways can provide you with a sample letter to send to the administrator of your IRA. Contact Barb Wolf, Development Director at 920-764-0764 or barb@crosswayscamps.org to take advantage of this giving opportunity.
